Casa da Mãe

The house, built in the last century during the twenties, has seen the little town of Salir expanding over the years and has managed to stand the test of time. In 1995 Graciete and Duarte set about renovating the house and refurbishing the old buildings with the object of setting up a quality tourist establishment in the hinterland of the Algarve: the Serra do Caldeirão.
In the former house, there is now a living-room with a fireplace, a dining-room, a kitchen and two double bedrooms (the green bedroom and the pink bedroom). The green bedroom comprises two single beds, while the pink room has one double bed, one single bed and a kitchenette.

The building where carobs and almonds used to be stored has been converted into a further double bedroom (the blue bedroom).

The old hayloft, where straw and hay used to be stored, has been converted into a studio flat. Located on three levels, it comprises a living-room with a fireplace, a kitchenette and a terrace with a view of Salir. It can accommodate up to four people.
